Are you suffering from anxiety, depression, or chronic pain? Do you tend to procrastinate or distract yourself in order to avoid the stress in your life?
Stress reduction through Mindful Movement might be just what you need to start a road to healing. Most people are so lost in the story and the stress of their lives that they aren’t being truly “present.” By practicing being present with yourself, rather than worrying about past or future events, Mindful Movement can help you overcome struggles and improve the quality of your life.
Every Tuesday at 12:15, a Mindfulness instructor leads 45 minutes of variations on gentle, mindful movement which is designed as meditation in motion. Gentle stretching and breathing helps you set aside your “to do list” and focus on yourself for a bit each day. This class is adaptable to any level of flexibility or mobility and does not require any kind of yoga or fitness experience. Scott recommends starting at 60% instead of 110% at first, and then finding your own edge by listening to the wisdom of your own body.
Join us next Tuesday for Mindful Movement and give yourself the gift of being present in your own life.
