Practice Manager
Practical Experience
Ruth was born and raised in East Texas. She graduated from University of Maryland with a BS in Business. Ruth has over 35 years of physician practice/project management experience. Ruth’s scope of experience ranges from single practitioners to large organizations, including pharmaceutical companies and the FDA.
Journey to Integrative Health
After returning to her hometown of Winnsboro, Ruth worked as Clinic Director for Christus TMF Wound Care Center, Winnsboro. Upon leaving wound care after several years, Ruth then worked as a case worker for the State of Texas before joining Integrative Health Matters as Practice Manager in June 2021.
After working with physicians in traditional medicine for so many years, Ruth knew there had to be more to patient care than treating the symptoms and rather believes in getting to the “root of the problem”. She is excited about functional medicine and what the future holds as this type of medical approach becomes more widespread. Ruth believes in the value of integrative and functional medicine and is grateful to be part of the IHM family.
Passions
Ruth is extremely passionate about charity work and helping those in need. One of her favorite quotes is, “Charity work humbles us and blesses those that perform the work much more than those in need”.
Interests
Ruth enjoys traveling and spending as much time as possible with her husband and 8 grandchildren.
