Dr. Ormes completed specialty training in digestive wellness, mental health, diabetes and cardiovascular health, women’s health and pediatrics. Using modalities such as counseling, nutrition, lifestyle education, vitamin and nutrient therapy, homeopathy, and botanical medicine, Dr. Ormes seeks to address the root factors behind illness.
Journey to Integrative Health
Dr. Ormes was raised with both traditional herbalism and modern medicine, and found naturopathic philosophy to combine the best of both worlds. Naturopathic medicine trusts the healing power of the natural world and respects the body’s inherent design to be well. By working alongside clients to achieve their health goals, Dr. Ormes believes that wellness stems from restoring optimal function and stimulating the self-healing abilities of the body. “Tolle totum,” or treat the whole person, is the naturopathic principle that most resonates with Dr. Ormes. This principle recognizes that true healing occurs when the body, mind, and spirit are in alignment.
Dr. Ormes is passionate about establishing a teacher/student relationship with her clients through wellness education, and creating healthy lifestyles that can offset preventable illness.
Dr. Ormes enjoys time outdoors with her husband and three dogs, gardening, cooking, reading, and traveling to mountains or beaches whenever possible!
