Journey to Integrative Health
Sharon has always been interested in holistic methods. Her interests were increased as she saw the need for natural remedies as she tended to her children. Sharon has always looked for ways to help patients de-stress. In her search for de-stressors, she became more aware that healing had a lot more to do with lifestyle than the “Band-Aid” of a pill. She believes that more is needed. With this passion in heart, Sharon saw the need to connect with people through education. Not to judge them, but to help them better the quality of their life.
Sharon is passionate about a holistic approach to health and uses a variety of therapies for her own personal use and stress management. Her personal approach to health along with her passion led her to become one of the charter members of the East Texas Chapter of the American Holistic Nurses Association, founded in 2013. Sharon is also a co-founder of the Expanded Resources Chapter of AHNA which provides opportunities of education and self-care for health care professionals and anyone who has an interest in a holistic approach to health.
Sharon has been happily married to her husband, Buddy for 31 years and has 2 daughters. Sharon enjoys yoga, gardening, avid reading, horseback riding, snow skiing and being outdoors. She is a lifetime learner and is starting a masters in energy medicine. Sharon believes you are never too old to learn.
