Journey to Integrative Health
As her knowledge in healthcare grew, she realized she wanted to do more for her patients and the importance of holistic care. After becoming a nurse, she was still not satisfied with the level of influence she had on her patients’ lives. She wasn’t able to implement the care and techniques she knew were best for her patients in the hospital care setting. She felt becoming a nurse practitioner would be the way to truly impact the needs and health of her patients. After completing nurse practitioner school at the University of Texas at Tyler, she practiced health care in the allergy & family setting where she clearly gained the understanding of how imperative it is to apply the integrative model of healthcare to patients. Julia has also been trained and educated in bio-identical hormone therapy by one of the nation’s leading educators, Dr. Rozier. Through this education, Julia came to understand how hormone replacement therapy is a keystone in maintaining optimal health and wellness.
