Kimberly Joshi is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Physician Assistant. She graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine with Honors, receiving her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 2006. She has been working as a Physician Assistant since her graduation from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2003 where she received her MS in Physician Assistant Studies. She has worked in family medicine as well as toxicology, giving her a unique background in the safe use of medications, supplements, and herbal therapies. She has coauthored a chapter in a nursing textbook, as well as published three abstracts in the Journal of Clinical Toxicology.
Dr. Joshi has worked in healthcare all her adult life. While studying at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with High Distinction, she worked in home health care and hospice. This is where she first experienced the importance of addressing the mind-body-spirit connection as well as practicing in a way that respects and honors a patient’s individual needs.
As she prepared herself to apply to traditional medical school, she was introduced to naturopathic medicine which really resonated with her beliefs. She especially appreciated the focus on prevention, nutrition, and the doctor-patient relationship, so her path took her to Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. She was on the research committee while working on her doctorate to focus on the validity and safety of holistic medicine as she learned to incorporate these therapeutics into her medical practice and personal life.
Dr. Joshi is passionate about her patients, wellness and naturopathy. Dr. Joshi currently resides in El Paso, TX and lives with her two children, husband and dog.
