Lauren was born and raised in East Texas where she enjoyed spending much of her childhood on her grandparents peach farm. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Communication before accepting a position in transplant services at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas as a search coordinator for bone marrow and PBSC transplants. Upon joining Baylor as a search coordinator, Lauren and her team were recognized as the #1 donor center in the country of the National Marrow Donor Program.
After returning to her hometown of Tyler, Lauren worked in marketing for an educational publisher for 5 years before joining Integrative Health Matters as Business Manager.
As a professional with a young family, Lauren admits that balancing life, staying active, and eating healthy does not always come easy. Lauren believes in the value of integrative and functional medicine and is grateful to join the IHM team.
Lauren also leads a ministry in Tyler for single women in crisis pregnancy situations. One of her greatest passions is supporting and encouraging these young women. She and her husband are also CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of East Texas volunteers.
Lauren enjoys traveling with her husband, laughing with her children, and spending time outdoors.
